Sealmaster® Custom Select® mounted ball bearings are available in a wide variety of features. Some of the standard suffixes used in the series include:

High Temperature "HT"

  • High temperature bearing with increased internal clearance to accommodate thermal expansion of components
  • High temperature Nomex* seal and high temperature synthetic grease
  • Operating temperature ranges from 200°F to 400°F
  • Dusty and dry environments

High Temperature "HI"

  • High temperature bearing with increased internal clearance to accommodate thermal expansion of components
  • High temperature Nomex seal and Krytox*-226 grease
  • Operating temperature ranges from 200°F to 400°F
  • Dusty and dry environments
  • High performance bearing

High Temperature Air Handling "HTA"

  • High temperature bearing with increased internal clearance to accommodate thermal expansion of components
  • High temperature Nomex* seal and high temperature synthetic grease
  • Operating temperature ranges from 200°F to 400°F
  • Dusty and dry environments
  • Two stage noise testing verification procedure for quiet operation
  • For standard operating temperatures, consider the Air Handling "CXU" option shown below.

High Temperature High Contamination "HTC"

  • High temperature bearing with increased internal clearance to accommodate thermal expansion of components
  • High temperature contact seal and high temperature synthetic grease
  • Operating temperature ranges from 200°F to 400°F
  • Wet and washdown environments

Air Handling "CXU"

  • Available with SKWEZLOC® concentric 360° locking collars or double setscrew lock locking system
  • Units are manufactured with a controlled air handling housing fit that allows the bearing to properly self-align when mounted on lightweight frames
  • Available with the standard Sealmaster felt seal for decreased energy consumption (for a reduced drag option consider the High Speed "HS" shown below
  • Two stage noise testing verification procedure for quiet operation
  • For higher operating temperatures consider the Sealmaster Air Handling High Temperature "HTA" option shown above.

High Speed "HS"

  • Available in SKWEZLOC only
  • Backed off, felt seal reduces contact area between the felt sealing material and the rotating metal flinger
  • Units are manufactured with a controlled air handling housing fit that allows the bearing to properly self-align when mounted on lightweight frames
  • Increased internal clearance to accommodate thermal expansion of components
  • Operating conditions from -50°F to -200°F

Low Drag "LO"

  • Felt seal cut down to reduce drag
  • Provides excellent barrier that works to retain grease and acts as a filter to reduce the ingress of debris contaminants
  • Features a channeling grease that reduces drag while lubricating the bearing
  • Operating temperature from -20°F to 180°F
  • A reduced housing fit to allow for the bearing to misalign more easily in the housing

X-Tra Low Drag "XLO"

  • Felt seal cut down and oil soaked for extra low drag
  • Oil lubricated
  • Operating temperature from -30°F to 100°F
  • For dry and dusty environments
  • A reduced housing fit to allow for the bearing to misalign more easily in the housing

Low Temperature "LT"

  • Filled with synthetic, hydrocarbon lithium complex grease that allows oil to flow more easily at temperatures as low as -65°F
  • High strength brass retainer won't become brittle under low temperatures, unlike polymer retainer
  • Internal clearance allows for internal expansion due to differential temperatures of components

    "CTJ"	Optional adaptor and special plug
    "CSJ"	Optional 45° grease fitting
    "W"	Optional adaptor and special grease fitting
    "CTY"	Optional plug for lubed-for-life bearings

To specify a Custom Select bearing add the appropriate suffix code to the Sealmaster part description. Example: NP-16 HTA
