The Sealmaster Unitized Spherical Roller Bearings is available in two distinct locking systems: set-screw-lock bore sizes from 1 1/8" to 7" and adapter lock with bore sizes from 1 1/8" to 8"

Features & Benefits

  • Sealmaster® USRB series performance double-row spherical roller bearings are designed for radial and combination loads and include a variety of features:
    • Inch size ranging from 1 1/8" - 8" bore
    • Variety of housing styles
      • 4-bolt and 2-bolt pillow block
      • Flange blocks
      • Flange cartridge
      • Flange Bracket
      • Take Up
    • Choice in locking systems
      • Set-Screw Lock
      • Adapter Lock
    • Choice in sealing systems
      • Felt Seal
      • Contact Seal
    • Non-expansion and Expansion styles
  • Unitized, replaceable cartridge insert allowing +/- 2° static and dynamic misalignment and come factory lubricated and sealed.
  • Durable split cast-iron housing available on sizes 5 7/16” – 7 collar mount and 5 7/16” – 8” adapter mount. The split case-iron housing allows for quick insert replacement when ever change out is needed while the housing base remains fixed and aligned with the shaft.
    • Reduces downtime and maintenance costs.
    • Includes cast-in centerline marks for positioning and a provision for lifting lug.
  • Black oxide coating standard on outer race and seal stampings for corrosion resistance.
  • Choice of two reliable locking systems:
    • Sealmaster USRBs are anchored to the shaft with two concentric locking collars and set screws at 120º, providing a balanced three-point contact and extra holding power.
    • Sealmaster USRBs grip the shaft with an advanced adapter-lock system for fast installation and removal. This integral locking system incorporates axial cap screws that let you mount and dismount the bearing from one side.
  • Race mounted seals move with the cartridge to reduce stress on seals and to control seal component positioning. Two sealing options include:
    • Felt seal - The Sealmaster felt-lined rotating flinger seal provides a tight labyrinth seal, which retains grease, acts as a filter to help exclude material and has low friction.
    • Contact seal - The Sealmaster double-lip contact seal operates with a low drag, making it a smart choice for wet, dry, or dusty environments.
  • Expansion spherical roller bearing pillow blocks available for use when significant temperature differentials are expected between shafts and mounting structures or shaft is unusually long- specify by adding “E” in part description (e.g. USRB-5532E-507).
  • Permanent metal nametag with part-number description, bore size, and date code for easy identification after years of operation.
