Features & Benefits
- Sealmaster® mounted ball bearings in high temperature furnace applications are designed to operate in ambient temperatures to 400°F (200°C) in 2 bolt (HF) and 4 bolt (HFT) housing styles from 1" up to 1 15/16".
- Available as fixed (non-expansion) and float (expansion) unit arrangement to allow for shaft expansion.
- Heat Gard Ultra seals and end caps are standard on all units.
- HFC (Fixed) are open end caps to allow shaft to pass through to drive systems that come with V-ring end cap seal
- HEC (Float) are closed end caps designed for the non-drive side
- All units are supplied with standard set screws. A square head bolt is provided with the HEC cap for installation to allow the shaft to expand (float) along a keyway required in the shaft.
- The units are equipped with two pipe plugs inserted into two drilled and tapped holes in the casting located 180° from each other. This allows the user to remove the pipe plugs, add pipe extensions or lube lines in order to add additional lubricant to the top hole while purging (draining, forcing out) old lubricant out the bottom hole.
- Custom anti-rotation lock nut, which helps to prevent outer ring "creep".
- Wide outer ring design provides increased grease capacity to lubricate the bearings.
- Black oxide standard on inner/outer rings and seal components inhibits corrosion.
- Zone hardened inner race provides a fully hardened ball path while leaving the race extensions unhardened, allowing better set screw holding power.
- Length through bore is longer than most competitors for greater shaft stability.
- Land-riding brass retainer has high strength, minimizes friction and provides maximum grease circulation.
- Permanent metal nameplate allows for easy identification after years of operation.
- All bearings are supplied with a high quality/high temperature synthetic lubricant selected to provide reliable operation at temperatures up to 400°F (200°C).
